Advil (Generic name: Ibuprofen) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used to treat pain and reduce fevers. This is especially important in the third trimester of pregnancy, as it may cause problems in the unborn child, or complications with delivery. Do not use Advil if you are allergic to Ibuprofen or any of the ingredients contained in Advil medication. Ask a doctor before taking Advil if you are on any other prescription medications, or taking aspirin for stroke or heart attack, as Advil may reduce this benefit of aspirin. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and non-prescription medications you are taking. They may interact with Advil, particularly: antidepressants, aspirin, blood pressure medications, bladder or urinary medications, diuretic, and etc. Consult with your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
