Invega (Generic name: Paliperidone) ER is a atypical antipsychotic medication for the acute and maintenance treatment of schizophrenia – a brain disorder that impairs a person’s ability to think, relate to others, and distinguish between reality and imagination. Invega is approved for the treatment of schizoaffective disorder either as monotherapy or adjunctive therapy to mood stabilizers and/or antidepressants. The most common Invega side effects include anxiety, constipation, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, loss of appetite, muscle weakness, nausea, restlessness, runny nose, stomach pain, vomiting, and extrapyramidal disorder.
