Nexium (Generic name: Esomeprazole Magnesium) is an approved anti-ulcer medication used to treat symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (*GERD – reflux esophagitis) and other conditions involving excessive stomach acid such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
