Visken (Pindolol) used alone or with other thiazide diurectics to treat high blood pressure. It is also used to prevent angina. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks and kidney problems. Pindolol belongs to a class of medications known as beta-blockers. Visken works by blocking the effects of a certain natural substance (such as epinephrine) on the heart and blood vessels. This will result in lowering the heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart.
Do not take this medication if you are allergic.
