Frequently Asked Questions
Buying Prescription Drugs from Online Canadian Pharmacies
BigMountainDrugs.com Answers
Q1: Do I need a prescription?
A: Like all licensed pharmacies, we require a valid prescription from your doctor to dispense all products marked with an "RX" on the left hand side of the product name on our site. Any products marked "OTC" are over the counter medications that can be purchased without a prescription.
Q2: Are generic drugs as safe and effective?
A: Yes, a generic drug is simply a drug on which the patent has expired, allowing other companies to produce it. Generic products are so popular because they are required by law to be chemically and therapeutically the same as the original brand name drug, but are sold at a much lower price.
Q3: Why are some drugs cheaper in other countries?
A: The governments of many countries regulate the cost of drugs, and allow drug manufacturers to produce generic medications sooner than is allowed in the United States. As well, some countries do not allow pharmaceutical companies to advertise their products, resulting in lower costs.
Q4: Do you fill orders for pets?
A: Yes, orders for pet medications are welcome at Big Mountain Drugs as long as you have a valid prescription. Simply choose our pet option when you are signing up, and you will be prompted for your pet's name.
