Sporanox is an antifungal medication produced and marketed by Janssen-Cilag Pty Ltd to treat both internal and external fungal conditions that are persistent. The drug’s generic is itraconazole and this is the active ingredient in Sporanox that acts by arresting the growth and spread of fungi through the interference with the fungal cell membrane. The blue and pink Sporanox capsule is available in 100 mg dosage and the dosage will depend on the physician’s assessment of the gravity of the condition.
