Flovent (Generic name: Fluticasone) is a prescription medication used to prevent bronchial asthma attacks. Flovent is a corticosteroid. It works by reducing inflammatory reactions in the airways in response to allergens and irritants in the air. If an asthma attack occurs, use Flovent inhaler as prescribed.

Flovent Side Effects:

The most common Flovent side effects include cough, dryness, headache, hoarseness, loss of appetite, runny nose, tiredness, and etc. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as blurred vision, breathing problems, chest pain, numbness, signs of infections, weakness, worsening asthma symptoms or symptoms of a serious allergic reactions (e.g., difficult breathing, itching, rash, swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.

Flovent Precautions:

Tell your doctor about all the prescriptions or over-the-counter (OTC) medications you use. They may interact with Flovent diskus, especially of: antibiotics, antidepressant, antifungal, heart or blood pressure medications, HIV/AIDs medicines, oral corticosteroids. Consult with your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
