Levlite Information:

Levlite 28 (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) are usually prescribed as a contraceptive to prevent pregnancy. The active ingredients used as a part of this medication contain a combination of female hormones that prevent ovulation. Ovulation is the process of an egg being released from the ovaries.

This medication can also cause a change on the cervical mucus and the lining of the uterus, which will then make it harder for sperm to reach the uterus and also making it harder for the fertilized egg to actually attach to the uterus. The medication may also be prescribed to you for other purposes that are not listed in this article; however your doctor will be able to provide you with further information.
