Nasacort AQ Nasal Spray Information:

Nasacort AQ Nasal spray (Generic name: Triamcinolone Acetonide) is an unscented, water-based metered-dose pump spray formulation unit containing a microcrystalline suspension of Triamcinolone Acetonide in an aqueous medium. Nasacort AQ nasal spray (NAQ) is used for the treatment of the nasal symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children 12 years of age and older. Nasacort AQ is an intranasal corticosteroid, which is recommended in treatment guidelines as first-line treatment for moderate to severe allergic rhinitis patients. Nasacort spray offers significant relief from nasal allergy symptoms such as nasal congestion, itchy runny nose, and sneezing, with no scent, alcohol or taste. Nasacort nasal spray usually starts to work within 2 or 3 days. Use Nasacort AQ inhaler exactly as it was prescribed for you.

Nasacort AQ Nasal Spray Side Effects:

Nasacort AQ is generally well tolerated. The most common Nasacort side effects are burning, cough, fever, flu-like symptoms, headache, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat and etc. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as chills, fever, unusual weakness, loss of appetite, weight loss, easy bruising or bleeding, nose or throat pain, yellow or green nasal discharge, vision problem or signs of a serious allergic reaction (e.g., difficult breathing, chest pain, hives, swelling of the face, lips, eyes), please inform your doctor immediately.

Nasacort AQ Nasal Spray Precautions:

Do NOT use Nasacort AQ if you are allergic to Triamcinolone or any of the ingredients in Nasacort medication. Nasacort inhaler is NOT approved for children use younger than 12 years of age. Before using Nasacort nasal, tell your doctor if you have had any medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, dormant tuberculosis, glaucoma or cataracts, nasal ulcers or surgery, any active infections, stomach or intestine disease. Tell your doctor about all the prescriptions and over-the-counter (OTC) medications you use. They may interact with Nasacort drug, especially of: acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), cancer medicine, and other nasal sprays.
