Lustra Cream (Generic name: Hydroquinone USP 4%) is a skin whitening drug used to lighten areas of darkened skin such as age spots, chloasma, freckles, and melasma. Lustra Cream contains the key ingredient Hydroquinone. Hydroquinone lightens any skin it is applied to over time by slowing down melanin production in your skin cells as well as helping skin achieve an even tone. It helps fade skin discolorations which resulting from excess sun, hormone replacement therapy, pregnancy, the use of oral contraceptives, or skin trauma. Lustra AF Cream contains sunscreen SPF 20. Lustra AF provides all the benefits of Lustra with the addition of full-spectrum UVA and UVB coverage. Use Lustra Cream exactly as directed on the label.
The most common Lustra Cream side effects include blisters, burning, itching, redness, or skin peeling.
