Trusopt Ophthalmic (Generic name: Dorzolamide Hydrochloride) is a prescription medication available in eye-drop form used to reduce the pressure inside the eye for people with open-angle glaucoma or intraocular hypertension (increased pressure in the eye). Lowering high pressure inside the eye helps to prevent blindness. Dorzolamide belongs to a class of drugs known as carbonic anhydrase inhibitors (CAI).
