Miebo eye drops effectively treat dry eye disease by preventing excessive tear evaporation. The active ingredient in Miebo is Perfluorohexyloctane. Perfluorohexyloctane belongs to the class of medication called semifluorinated alkane ophthalmic agent. It forms an anti-evaporative layer, stabilizing the tear film on the eye's surface. It stops the tears from evaporating and prevents the drying of the eyes. Miebo eye drops prevent burning, irritation, and discomfort associated with dry eyes.
