Acuvail Information:

Acuvail (Generic name: Ketorolac Tromethamine) is an ophthalmic solution used for the treatment of pain and inflammation following cataract surgery. Acuvail belongs to the group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Ketorolac ophthalmic is also used to reduce burning, pain, stinging, or swelling after cataract surgery or corneal refractive surgery. Use Acuvail eye drops exactly as it was prescribed for you.

Acuvail Side Effects:

The most common Acuvail side effects are blurred vision, headache, mild burning, itching, or stinging of your eyes. If you are experiencing any severe side effects including eye pain, vision changes, white patches on your eyes, or a sign of serious allergic reaction (e.g., difficult breathing; itching; rash; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.

Acuvail Precautions:

Acuvail drops are only for the eye. Do NOT use Acuvail drops if you are allergic to Ketorolac Tromethamine or any of the ingredients in Acuvail medication, or you are wearing contact lenses. Before using Acuvail, tell your doctor if you have had any medical conditions, such as arthritis, blood or bleeding disorders, diabetes, dry eye syndrome, glaucoma, or recently you have had any eye surgeries. Tell your doctor about all the prescription drugs you are taking, especially blood thinners. They may interact with Acuvail drug. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
