Aldomet Information
Aldomet (Methyldopa) is used to treat high blood pressure. High blood pressure occurs when the force of the blood pushing through your vessels is too high. This condition often has no symptoms and may lead to complications like strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. The active ingredient in Aldomet is Methyldopa. Centrally-acting anti-hypertensive drugs like Methyldopa work by relaxing the blood vessels so that blood passes through them more easily, lowering blood pressure.
