AlmaGel Plus Information
AlmaGel Plus (Aluminum Hydroxide/Magnesium Hydroxide/Dimethicone) treats symptoms of excess stomach acid, such as stomach upset, heartburn, and acid indigestion. Excess stomach acid can occur due to medications, infections, and lifestyle factors. If left untreated, excess stomach acid can lead to ulcers or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). GERD is a chronic condition where stomach acid flows back into the esophagus. Antacids like Aluminum hydroxide and Magnesium hydroxide neutralize stomach acid, relieving heartburn, acid indigestion, and sour stomach. Antiflatulents like Dimethicone work by reducing the surface tension of gas bubbles in the stomach and intestines, breaking the bubbles down, and making it easier for the body to eliminate gas through burps or farts.
