Anoro Ellipta Information:
Anoro Ellipta (Umeclidinium Bromide/Vilanterol Trifenatate) is used to treat bronchitis, emphysema, and other COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) conditions. Anoro Ellipta contains two medications, Umeclidinium bromide and Vilanterol Trifenatate. Umeclidinium works by blocking certain receptors in the respiratory system, leading to the relaxation of muscles around the airways, improvement in lung function, and a decrease of mucus secretion. Vilanterol works by stimulating certain cells in the respiratory system, which leads to bronchodilation and the relaxation of airway muscles. Anoro Ellipta must be used regularly to be effective. Anoro is not a rescue medication.
Anoro Ellipta Precautions:
If you are having sudden breathing problems, use your quick-relief inhaler. To make sure Anoro is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have ever had heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, liver disease, glaucoma, diabetes, a thyroid disorder, an enlarged prostate, or urination problems. Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding to discuss any possible risks. Tell your doctor about any other medications you are currently taking in order to reduce the risk of interactions. Call your doctor immediately if you notice signs of high blood sugar or low potassium level. If you experience any serious side effects or signs of an allergic reaction, seek emergency medical attention.
