Atectura Breezhaler Information
Atectura Breezhaler (Indacaterol/Mometasone Furoate) is used to control and prevent asthma attacks. Asthma is a serious lung disease where the muscles surrounding the smaller airways become tight and inflamed. Atectura Breehaler is a combination medicine of Indacaterol and Mometasone Furoate. Bronchodilators like Indacaterol work by relaxing the muscles in the lungs' small airways to make breathing easier. Corticosteroids like Mometasone Furoate work by reducing the swelling and irritation in the small airways in the lungs to ease breathing problems gradually.
Atectura Breezhaler Side Effects
The most common side effects of Atectura Breezhaler may include sore throat, runny nose, coughing, hoarseness, and headache. Call your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects, such as:
• Signs of an allergic reaction, such as rash, breathing difficulties, itching or swelling of the face, tongue, or throat
Atectura Breezhaler Precautions
Do not use Atectura Breezhaler if you are allergic to Indacaterol, Mometasone Furoate, or other ingredients in this medication. Before you start using this medication, tell your doctor about your medical history, including if you have diabetes, heart problems, liver problems, low level of potassium in the blood, seizures, thyroid gland problems, tuberculosis, think you may be pregnant, or plan to become pregnant, are breastfeeding, or are planning to breastfeed. Tell your doctor about all your medications, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. There may be a drug interaction between Atectura Breezhaler and other medications, such as hydrochlorothiazide, theophylline, prednisolone, timolol, ketoconazole, ritonavir, etc.
Do not use Atectura Breezhaler if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant without informing your doctor. It is unknown if Atectura Breezhaler will harm a fetus. The drug should only be used in pregnancy if the benefits outweigh the risks. Do not use Atectura Breezhaler while breastfeeding without talking to your doctor. It is unknown if Indacaterol or Mometasone Furoate passes into breast milk. Do not give this drug to children below 12 years without talking to your doctor. Use your medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Only use the capsules with the inhaler provided in the pack. Do not swallow the capsules. Inhale the capsule's content once daily, as the effects last 24 hours. Use this drug at the same time each day to help you remember. Ensure you rinse your mouth out with water after each use.
