Bijuva Information

Bijuva (Estradiol Hemihydrate/Progesterone) is used to reduce moderate to severe hot flashes caused by menopause. A hot flash is a sudden feeling of warmth in the upper body. It is intense mainly over the face, neck, and chest. Hot flashes are symptoms of menopause and are caused by the body making less estrogen. Estrogens like Estradiol hemihydrate help the body produce more estrogen to reduce hot flashes. Progestins like Progesterone help to reduce the risk of cancer of the uterus, which can be caused by using estrogen. Bijuva is for use only in women who have not had their uteruses removed.
