Bystolic Information:

Bystolic (Generic name: Nebivolol) is an approved prescription medicine to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Bystolic (Nebivolol) is a beta-blocker that works by slowing down the heart to help the heart pump more efficiently and lower blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. Bystolic is a once daily medication that can be used alone or in combination with antihypertensive agents. Take Bystolic exactly as it was prescribed for you.

Bystolic Side Effects:

The most common Bystolic side effects are diarrhea, dizzy, fatigue, headache, insomnia, nausea, stomach pain, or tiredness. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as chest pain, irregular heartbeat, numbness, vision changes, or symptoms of an allergic reaction (e.g., difficult breathing; hives; rash; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.

Bystolic Precautions:

Do NOT take Bystolic oral if you are allergic to Nebivolol or any other ingredients in Bystolic medication. Before taking Bystolic, tell your doctor if you have had any medical conditions such as blood circulation problem, breathing problems (e.g., asthma, COPD), diabetes, heart diseases, liver or kidney disease, pheochromocytoma, or thyroid disorder. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications you use. Because they may contain ingredients that could increase your blood pressure or heart rate, especially of: antidepressants, heart medicines, other beta blockers and hypertension medications. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
