Capozide Information

Capozide (Captopril/Hydrochlorothiazide) is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Hypertension is when the blood pressure in your blood vessels is too high. People with high blood pressure may not feel any symptoms. The only way to know is to get your blood pressure checked. Capozide is a combination medicine of Captopril and Hydrochlorothiazide. Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors like Captopril block the activity of angiotensin II, a substance that narrows the blood vessels. This helps to relax the blood vessels and lower blood pressure effectively. Thiazide-type diuretics like Hydrochlorothiazide help the body eliminate excess salt and water. It also helps to relax the blood vessels so blood can flow more easily.
