Clarinex Information:

Clarinex (Generic name: Desloratadine) is an allergy medication used to relieve the symptoms of seasonal and year-round allergies including itching, runny nose, sneezing and watery eyes. Desloratadine is an antihistamine. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a natural substance in your body that is released by your immune system during an allergic reaction. Take Clarinex tablets exactly as it was prescribed for you.

Clarinex Side Effects:

The most common Clarinex side effects are diarrhea, dry mouth, fatigue, headache, muscle pain, nausea, sore throat, and tiredness. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as dark urine, fast heartbeat, fever, jaundice, or symptoms of a serious allergic reaction (e.g., difficult breathing, itching, rash, swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.

Clarinex Precautions:

Do NOT use Clarinex if you are allergic to Desloratadine or any of the ingredients in Clarinex medication. Before taking Clarinex oral, tell your doctor if you have had any medical conditions, especially of: diabetes, enlarged prostate, eye problems, heart disease, high blood pressure, liver or kidney disease, thyroid, and urination problems. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications you use. They may interact with Clarinex drug, especially of: antibiotics, cimetidine, or ketoconazole. Clarinex is NOT approved for the treatment of asthma.
