Ebixa Information

Ebixa (Memantine Hydrochloride) is used to treat people diagnosed with moderate to severe Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of dementia. This disease is progressive, and it starts with mild memory loss. Alzheimer’s disease involves brain parts that control thought, memory, and language. Symptoms of Alzheimer’s include memory loss, confusion, and behavioral changes. As a result, people with Alzheimer’s disease find it more and more difficult to carry out their normal daily activities. NMDA receptor antagonists like Memantine Hydrochloride work by blocking the effect of special types of chemicals that cause symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. This drug is not a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. It slows down the progression of the symptoms of the disease.
