Emerade Information

Emerade (Adrenaline Tartrate) is used for the emergency treatment of severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) to allergens like insect bites, insect stings, food, latex, or medication. During a severe allergic reaction, you may experience low blood pressure, breathing difficulties, and swelling in your face and throat. You may also experience stomach cramps, nausea, a fast heart rate, dizziness, and weakness. Sympathomimetics drugs like Adrenaline Tartrate work by counteracting the fall of blood pressure in anaphylactic reactions. It also stimulates the heart and facilitates breathing. Emerade is similar to chemicals found in the human body. It is released during stressful situations like when we are scared, angry, or anxious.

Emerade Side Effects

The most common side effects of Emerade may include headache; dizziness; sweating; Call your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects such as:
• Breathing difficulties;
• Fainting;
• Hallucinations;
• Shaking;

Emerade Precautions

There may be a drug interaction between Emerade and other medications like alfuzosin; clozapine; propranolol; ergotamine; salbutamol; theophylline; norepinephrine;. Do not use Emerade if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant without informing your doctor. It is not known if this medication will harm your unborn baby. However, not using Emerade in an emergency situation may endanger your life. Do not use Emerade while breastfeeding without talking to your doctor. It is not known if Adrenaline Tartrate passes into your breastmilk. It should be safe to breastfeed after using Emerade. Do not give this drug to children weighing less than 15kg. It may harm them. Use your medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Emerade is an auto injector and should be used only in emergencies. Ensure you understand how to administer this drug in an emergency. Your doctor will teach you how to administer Emerade. Use Emerade immediately when the symptoms of an acute allergic reaction begin. This drug should be administered to the outer thigh. It can be administered through clothing. Do not inject this drug into the buttocks. Always carry two Emerade pens with you. If a pen fails to activate, use an increased force. If the pen still fails to activate, use the second pen immediately. Do not remove the cap on the drug unless an injection is required. Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Store Emerade below 25°C. Do not freeze.
