Evorel Information
Evorel (Estradiol) is used to ease symptoms of menopause. Menopause occurs when the level of hormones the ovaries produce goes down. This can cause symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings, and vaginal dryness. Evorel is also used to prevent osteoporosis in some women after menopause. The active ingredient in Evorel is Estradiol. Hormone replacement therapy (HRT), like Estradiol, replaces the estrogen that is normally released by the ovaries. However, in women who still have a womb, estrogen may cause the lining of the womb to build up and get thicker. You may need to add a progestogen hormone to the estrogen.
Evorel Side Effects
The most common side effects of Evorel may include irritated, itchy, or red skin at the application site, breast pain, headache, dizziness, weight gain, diarrhea, and stomach pain. Call your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects, such as:
• Convulsions;
• Increased blood pressure;
• Signs of an allergic reaction, such as rash, breathing difficulties, itching or swelling of the face, tongue, or throat;
