Evra Patch is a birth control method. It won’t protect you against sexually transmitted diseases. Progestins like Norelgestromin work by preventing the fertilization of an egg by sperm or the release of an egg from the ovary. Synthetic estrogens like Ethinyl Estradiol work by stopping a woman’s egg from fully developing each month to prevent fertilization. Evra Patch is a birth control method.
