Flonase Information:

Flonase (Generic name: Fluticasone Propionate) is an allergy medication used for the treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis, including hay fever, and perennial rhinitis in adults and children 12 years older. Fluticasone Propionate is a steroid that prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. Fluticasone is used to treat the nasal symptoms of allergies and other seasonal effects. Use Flonase exactly as it was prescribed for you.



Flonase Side Effects:

The most common Flonase side effects are headache, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, burning, dryness and irritation. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as bloody nasal mucus, eye pain, blurred vision, unexplained nosebleeds or signs of a serious allergic reaction (e.g., difficult breathing, chest pain, hives, swelling of the face, lips, eyes), please inform your doctor immediately.

Flonase Precautions:

Do NOT use Flonase sprays if you are allergic to Fluticasone or any of the ingredients in Flonase medication. Before taking Flonase, tell your doctor if you have had untreated fungal, bacterial, or tuberculosis infections of the respiratory tract. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications you use. They may interact with Flonase drug, especially of: ketoconazole, or ritonavir.
