Fucithalmic Viscous Eye Drops (fusidic acid) belongs to the anti-infective drug class and is an antibiotic. This medication comes in the form of an eye drop and treats infections on the surface of the eye such as inflammation of the white eye, caused by bacteria (bacterial conjunctivitis). Fusidic acid works by stopping the growth of bacteria that causes infections. This medication will only treat bacterial eye infections. It will not work for other types of eye infections.
