Gemtesa Information

Gemtesa (Vibegron) is used to treat overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms. If you have the sudden urge to urinate, even if your bladder is not full, then you have OAB. The symptoms of this condition include increased urinary frequency, urinary urgency, and incontinence. Gemtesa is also used to relieve symptoms of OAB in men taking medicine for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Beta-3 adrenergic receptor agonists like Vibegron relax the bladder muscles, helping to increase bladder capacity. This increases the amount of urine the bladder can hold and reduces the frequent urge to urinate.

Gemtesa Side Effects

The most common side effects of Gemtesa may include diarrhea, headache, nausea, and cold symptoms such as sore throat, stuffy nose, and sneezing. Call your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects, such as:
• Burning sensation when urinating;
• Inability to empty your bladder;
• Painful urination;
• Signs of an allergic reaction, such as rash, breathing difficulties, itching or swelling of the face, tongue, or throat
