Inhibace Information:

Inhibace (Generic name: Cilazapril) is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and congestive heart failure (CHF). Cilazapril belongs to the class of medications known as converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors; it controls blood pressure and reduces symptoms of congestive heart failure by relaxing blood vessels and making the heart pump more efficiently.

Brand Inhibace is manufactured by Hoffman - La Roche from Canada and the generic Cilazapril comes from Canada. Inhibace comes in several different strengths: 1 mg, 2.5 mg, 5 mg, and 5 mg/12.5 mg (cilazapril/hydrochlorothiazide). Inhibace can be used along or in combination with other medications such as a diuretic. Take Inhibace exactly as it was prescribed for you.

Inhibace Side Effects:

The most common Inhibace side effects are dry cough, diarrhea, headache, nausea, tiredness, upset stomach, and weakness. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as dizziness, fainting, lightheadedness, signs of anemia, signs of infection, kidney or urinary tract problems, liver problems, or serious allergic reaction (e.g., difficult breathing, hives, rash, swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.

Inhibace Precautions:

Do not take Inhibace if you are allergic to Cilazapril or any of other ingredients in this medication. Before taking Inhibace, tell your doctor if you have had any medical history such as angioderma or are having trouble passing urine. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications you use. They may interact with Inhibace drug. Especially: antacids, diuretics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAIDs), lithium, potassium supplements, etc. Consult with your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
