Lotensin HCT Information
Lotensin HCT (Banazepril and Hydrochlorothiazide) is used to treat high blood pressure. When the force of the blood pushing through your vessels is too high, it can increase blood pressure. This condition often has no symptoms and, without proper treatment, may lead to strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. The active ingredients in Lotensin HCT are Banazepril and Hydrochlorothiazide. Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors like Banazepril work by decreasing certain chemicals that tighten the blood vessels so blood flows more smoothly. Diuretics like hydrochlorothiazide work by causing the kidneys to remove unneeded water and salt from the body and into the urine.
