Micardis Information:

Micardis (Generic name: Telmisartan) is a prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Micardis is also used to treat congestive heart failure and to help protect the kidneys from damage due to diabetes. Telmisartan belongs to a class of drugs called Angiotensin II Receptor Blockers. It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels, causing them to widen. High blood pressure reduction helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. Take Micardis tablets as prescribed for you.
