Myrbetriq Information
Myrbetriq (Mirabegron Extended Release) is used to treat overactive bladder (OAB). Overactive bladder happens when the bladder muscles are too active, causing you to feel a strong, sudden urge to urinate, need to urinate many times during the day or night, and sometimes leak urine before you can get to the bathroom. Beta-3 adrenergic agonists like Mirabegron work by relaxing the detrusor muscle in the bladder wall during the filling stage. This lets the bladder hold more urine so that you can wait longer between bathroom trips.
