Nurtec ODT Information
Nurtec ODT (Rimegepant) is a prescription medication used for the acute treatment of migraine attacks with or without aura in adults. Rimegepant belongs to a new class of drugs called gepants. This medication works by targeting the underlying source of a migraine without narrowing or tightening of blood vessels. Nurtec ODT is a great option for people with cardiovascular conditions, who also experience migraines. This medication is not used to prevent migraines. The recommended dose of Nurtec ODT is 75 mg taken orally.

The common side effects of Nurtec ODT may include:
• Hypersensitivity (including shortness of breath and severe rash);
• Nausea
Nurtec ODT Precautions
Nurtec ODT can cause serious hypersensitivity. If you have a serious hypersensitivity reaction, discontinue use of Nurtec ODT and contact your doctor immediately. A serious hypersentivity can occur days after you start taking Nurtec ODT. It is unknown if Nurtec ODT would affect a fetus or if it passes through breast milk. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Nurtec ODT may interact with other medications such as strong CYP3A4 inhibitors, moderate CYP3A4 inhibitors, strong and moderate CYP3A inducers and inhibitors of P-gp or BCRP.
