Relpax Information

Relpax (Generic name: Eletriptan Hydrobromide) is a headache medication to treat migraine headache attacks. Eletriptan HBr is a 5-hydroxytryptamine agonist (triptan). It works by narrowing the blood vessels in the brain, which helps to relieve migraine symptoms including headache pain, nausea, sensitivity to light and sound. Relpax will not treat a headache that has already begun. It will not prevent headaches or reduce the number of attacks. Take Relpax exactly as it was prescribed for you.

If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as chest pain, fainting, increased high blood pressure, mental or mood changes, numbness, unusual tiredness, vision changes, and symptoms of an allergic reaction (e.g., difficult breathing; hives; rash; swelling of the lips, throat or tongue), please inform your doctor immediately.
