Riomet Oral Solution Information
Riomet Oral Solution (Metformin) is used to treat type 2 diabetes when diet and exercise alone are not enough to control blood glucose levels, especially in overweight patients. Type 2 diabetes happens when your body can’t use insulin properly. Without treatment, this condition can cause various health problems, like heart disease, kidney disease, and stroke. Although there is no cure for type 2 diabetes, you can manage the condition by making lifestyle changes and taking medications. Biguanides like Metformin work by reducing the amount of sugar made by the liver, decreasing the amount of glucose the body absorbs from food, and increasing the effect of insulin on the body.
