Sanctura Information:

Sanctura (Generic name: Trospium Chloride) is a prescription medication used to treat overactive bladder with symptoms of urge incontinence (inability to control urination), urgency (increased need to urinate), and urinary frequency. Trospium Chloride is known as antispasmodics. It works by relaxing the muscles in the bladder and improving your ability to control the urination. Sanctura XR is an extended-release formulation of Trospium Chloride. Take Sanctura tablets exactly as it was prescribed for you.

Sanctura Side Effects:

The most common Sanctura side effects include as blurred vision, constipation, drowsiness, dry mouth, gas, headache, nausea, skin rash, and stomach pain. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as eye pain, fainting, irregular heartbeat, painful or difficult urination, seizures, vision changes, or symptoms of a serious allergic reaction (e.g., difficult breathing; hiving; itching; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.

Sanctura Precautions:

Do NOT take Sanctura if you are allergic to Trospium Chloride or any of the ingredients in Sanctura medication. Before taking Sanctura oral, tell your doctor if you have had any medical conditions such as bladder problems, difficult urinating, gastric retention, glaucoma, heart disease, intestinal/stomach problems, kidney or liver impairment, muscle disorder, and prostate problems. Tell your doctor about all the prescriptions and over-the-counter (OTC) medications you use. They may interact with Sanctura drug, especially of: antiparkinson’s, antimuscarinic drugs and potassium tablets. Consult with your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
