Savaysa Information:

Savaysa (edoxaban tosylate) is used to lower the risk of stroke caused by a blood clot in people with a heart rhythm disorder called atrial fibrillation. This medicine is used when the atrial fibrillation is not caused by a heart valve problem. It can also be used to treat deep vein thrombosis. Savaysa works by inhibiting factor Xa, which is a blood coagulator. By reducing factor Xa activity, it prevents the blood from thickening and forming clots. To make sure Savaysa is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have ever had an artificial heart valve, bleeding or blood clotting problems, or liver or kidney disease. Taking Savaysa while pregnant can cause bleeding in the mother or baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice symptoms of a spinal blood clot, which includes back pain, numbness or muscle weakness in your lower body, or loss of bladder or bowel control. If your experience any serious side effects or signs of an allergic reaction, seek emergency medical help.
