Spectro Eczema Precautions
Before using Spectro Eczema cream, tell your doctor if you are allergic to it or have any other steroids (such as hydrocortisone and dexamethasone) or any other allergies. It comes as a cream and should be applied to the skin only. Apply this medication to the affected scalp area as your doctor directs, usually twice daily. Wash and dry your hands before applying. Apply a small amount of the cream to the affected areas and rub gently. Do not bandage, wrap, or cover the area. If this medication is applied near the eyes, avoid getting it in the eyes because it may worsen or cause glaucoma. Also, avoid getting the medication in your nose or mouth. If you get the medication in your eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse with plenty of water. Use this medication exactly as prescribed. Steroid creams such as Clobetasone Butyrate can thin the skin and increase the risk of skin infections. Do not use it for longer than necessary. Do not increase your dose; take it more often or use it for longer than 2 weeks. Doing so could increase your risk of side effects. Tell your doctor if your condition lasts or gets worse after 2 weeks.
Before you start using this medication, tell your doctor about your medical history, including a history of Viral, fungal, or tubercular skin lesions, eye problems such as cataracts or glaucoma, liver problems, kidney disease, thyroid problems; think you may be pregnant or plan to become pregnant; are breastfeeding, or are planning to breastfeed. During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is unknown if this drug passes into breast milk when applied to the scalp/skin. Similar medications pass into breast milk when taken by mouth. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding. Tell your doctor about all your medications, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. There may be a drug interaction between Spectro Eczema and other medications, such as warfarin, heparin, furosemide, insulin, metformin, and antibiotics. Store Spectro Eczema cream at room temperature and keep it out of the reach of children.
