SportVis Information

SportVis (Sodium hyaluronate) is used to provide pain relief after a soft tissue injury. The drug is an innovative treatment that offers effective pain relief. You should be able to get back to your activities in no time after treatment. SportVis can help treat chronic tennis elbow and acute first- or second-degree ankle sprains. Intra-articular agents like Sodium hyaluronate work by providing lubrication and hydration to the affected site. This effect reduces pain and inflammation, and restores function in damaged tendons and ligaments.

SportVis Side Effects

The most common side effects of SportVis may include temporary pain, swelling, or stiffness at the injection site; Call your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects such as:
• An allergic reaction to the injection;
• Bleeding from the site of injection;
• Signs of an infection

SportVis Precautions

Do not receive SportVis if you are allergic to Sodium hyaluronate or other ingredients in this medication. Before you start receiving this medication, tell your doctor about your medical history, including if you have hematoma; have an infection at the injection site; have skin disease; are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or plan to become pregnant; are breastfeeding, or are planning to breastfeed. Tell your doctor about all the medications you take, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. There may be a drug interaction between SportVis and other medications. Do not use SportVis if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant without informing your doctor. It is not known if this medication will harm your unborn baby. Do not use SportVis while breastfeeding without talking to your doctor. It is unknown if Sodium hyaluronate passes into your breastmilk or if it may harm a nursing infant. The safety and effectiveness of this drug in children less than 18 years old have not been established. It may harm them. Use your medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will inject the drug. The area to be treated will be disinfected before administering the injection. The syringe is single-use and should be discarded after administration. If you are treating an acute injury, you will receive your second injection 48-72 hours after the first injection. For chronic sports injury, your second injection will be administered 7 days after the first injection. Your doctor may also recommend using the RICE treatment method in addition to your injection. Avoid strenuous or prolonged weight-bearing activities such as jogging or tennis within 48 hours after the injection. Store this medicine between 50C and 250C. Do not freeze. Protect from light.
