Taclonex (Generic name: Calcipotriene and Betamethasone Dipropionate) is a combination medication of Calcipotriene and Betamethasone Dipropionate used to treat moderate to severe psoriasis vulgaris of the scalp in adults. Calcipotriene is a form of vitamin D. It works by decreasing the rate of skin cell reproduction. Betamethasone is a topical corticosteroid. It reduces swelling, relieves itching, and constricts blood vessels. Use Taclonex medication exactly as it was prescribed for you.

Avoid exposure to sunlight or artificial UV rays (sunlamps or tanning beds). Before using Taclonex scalp solution, tell your doctor if you have had any medical conditions such as a skin infection, low or high levels of calcium in your blood, severe forms of psoriasis, liver or kidney disease.
