Tazorac Information:

Tazorac (Generic name: Tazarotene Cream or Gel) is a prescription medication used to treat plaque psoriasis and acne vulgaris. Tazarotene is a retinoid related to Vitamin A. It works by affecting the growth of skin cells to improve the appearance and texture of skin. Tazorac medication is available in the form of a topical cream or gel. Tazorac is clinically proven as the most effective topical medication to treat both acne and psoriasis. Use Tazorac exactly as directed by your doctor.

Tazorac Side Effects:

The most common Tazorac side effects include burning, dryness, itching, peeling, or redness of the skin. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as bleeding, changes of skin color, and serious allergic reaction (difficult breathing; hives; rash; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.

Tazorac Precautions:

Do NOT use Tazorac if you are allergic to Tazarotene or any of the ingredients in Tazorac mediation. Do NOT use Tazorac topical if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Birth control must be used during Tazorac treatment. Before taking Tazorac, tell your doctor if you have a medical condition called eczema, or you are taking Vitamin A supplements. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications you use. They may interact with Tazorac drug, especially of: drugs may increase the sensitivity to sunlight, skin and topical products, vitamin a supplements. You should wear a sunscreen minimum SPF of 15 and protective clothing during the day when using Tazorac topical.
