Vaseretic and Equivalent
Vaseretic (Enalapril/HCTZ)
Generic Equivalent of Vaseretic
Vaseretic Information
Vaseretic (Enalapril/HCTZ) is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Hypertension is when the blood pressure in your blood vessels is too high. People with high blood pressure may not feel any symptoms. The only way to know is to get your blood pressure checked. Vaseretic is a combination medicine of Enalapril and HCTZ. Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors like Enalapril relax the blood vessels, allowing blood to flow through the body easily. Diuretics like HCTZ (hydrochlorothiazide) help the body get rid of excess salt and water. It also helps to relax the blood vessels so blood can flow more easily.
Vaseretic Side Effects
The most common side effects of Vaseretic may include dry cough, dizziness, headache, and lightheadedness. Call your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects, such as:
• Blurred vision;
• Joint pain;
• Kidney problems;
• Signs of an allergic reaction, such as rash, breathing difficulties, itching or swelling of the face, tongue, or throat
