Xenical Information:

Xenical (Generic name: Orlistat) is a weight loss medication used to treat obesity. Orlistat is a lipase inhibitor that works in your intestines, where it blocks some of the fat you eat from being absorbed. This undigested fat is then eliminated in your bowel movements. Orlistat medication should be used together with a reduced-calorie diet that containing no more than 30% of calories from fat (or as recommended by your doctor). Orlistat medicine is used for obesity management, including weight loss, and weight maintenance. Take Xenical diet pills exactly as it was prescribed for you.

Xenical Side Effects:

The most common Xenical side effects are abdominal discomfort, dizziness, headache, increases in bowel movements, gas or oily discharge, insomnia, nausea, upper respiratory infections, vomiting and etc. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as depression, numbness, or symptoms of an allergic reaction (e.g., rash, hives, difficult breathing, swelling of the lips, throat or tongue), please inform your doctor immediately.

Xenical Precautions:

Do NOT take Xenical oral if you are allergic to Orlistat or any of the ingredients in Xenical medication. Do NOT take Xenical if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Before taking Xenical diet, tell your doctor if you have had any medical conditions such as bowel or rectal problems, digestive problem (chronic malabsorption syndrome), gallbladder problem (cholestasis), kidney stones, liver or kidney disease, or underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism). Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications you use. Because they may interact with Xenical drug, especially of: amiodarone, anti-diabetic, anti-coagulants, beta-carotene, blood thinners (e.g., warfarin), cholesterol medicines, cyclosporine (e.g., gengraf, neoral, sandimmune), fat-soluble vitamin supplements, thyroid medications, and other weight loss drugs. Xenical weightloss is NOT recommended in children less than 12 years of age.
