Zoryve Information
Zoryve (Roflumilast) is used to treat plaque psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. Plaque psoriasis is a condition that causes itchy, painful rash with red patches of skin. It is an autoimmune condition where the immune system mistakes healthy cells for foreign invaders. Certain medications may also cause the condition. Atopic dermatitis, or eczema, is a chronic skin condition that causes inflammation, redness, and intense itching. Although the exact cause of this skin condition is unknown, it mainly occurs due to a combination of genetics, the immune system, and environmental factors. Zoryve cream is also used to treat seborrheic dermatitis. This chronic condition causes flaky, scaly, greasy skin on the scalp, face, chest, or oily body areas. Phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4) inhibitors like Roflumilast work by inhibiting the enzyme PDE4, which helps reduce inflammation and improve plaque psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis symptoms.
