Durezol Information:

Durezol is commonly prescribed for the treatment of eye pain, redness and inflammation after eye (ocular) surgery. It may also be used to treat endogenous anterior uveitis (eye inflammation). Durezol is a topical corticosteroid for ophthalmic use. Corticosteroids work to inhibit the inflammatory response in the body, such as swelling, heat, redness and pain in the eyes. Avoid wearing contact lenses while using this medication as this may interfere with the absorption of this medication. Use with caution if you have glaucoma, an eye infection (fungal and/or viral) or if you have had cataract surgery. Some side effects include blepharitis, cataracts, corneal edema, delayed healing, eye pain or eye infections. Durezol is not for long-term use. Take this medication as directed by your doctor. If an infection in the eyes or surrounding structures develops, an eye injury occurs or if pain, redness, inflammation or itching persists, consult your doctor immediately. Please always consult your pharmacist for possible side effects and precautions before you take this medication. If you experience any serious effects, please seek medical attention promptly.
