Norlevo Information

Norlevo (Levonorgestrel) is used to prevent pregnancy within 72 hours of unprotected sexual intercourse. This drug is for emergency contraception and not for long-term use. Norlevo prevents pregnancy from happening when taken within 12 hours and no later than 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. Progestins like Levonorgestrel stop your ovaries from releasing an egg, prevent sperm from fertilizing any egg you have already released, and stop a fertilized egg from attaching itself to your womb lining. Norlevo only stops a pregnancy before it is established. The drug will not work if you are already pregnant.
