Pramosone (pramoxine/hydrocortisone) is a topical medication used to treat skin irritation that responds to corticosteroids, such as eczema or rashes. Pramoxine acts as an anesthetic to treat pain or itching, while hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid that blocks the activity of inflammatory enzymes and fluids. Before using Pramosone, tell your doctor if you are allergic to pramoxine or hydrocortisone, or if you are allergic to other corticosteroids. As well, tell your doctor about any other medications you are taking, as Pramosone can absorb through your skin and interact with other medications. Take this medication as directed.
