Pramosone Information
Pramosone (Pramoxine/Hydrocortisone) is primarily used to treat inflammatory skin conditions that are responsive to corticosteroids. Examples of these conditions include eczema and dermatitis, which are characterized by skin inflammation, redness, itchiness, and sometimes scaly patches, often triggered by allergens or irritants. In these diseases, an overactive immune response leads to inflammation and discomfort. Pramosone is used to relieve itching, redness, swelling, and other symptoms of inflammation caused by these skin conditions. It may also be used to relieve pain, itching, swelling, and inflammatory symptoms associated with haemorrhoids and other inflammatory anal conditions. It contains two active ingredients: pramoxine, a local anesthetic, and hydrocortisone, a mild corticosteroid. Pramoxine works by numbing the skin and blocking nerve signals that cause itching and pain. At the same time, hydrocortisone reduces inflammation by suppressing the immune response and decreasing swelling, redness, and irritation. Together, they provide symptomatic relief and promote healing of affected skin areas.
