Repronex Information

Repronex (menotropins for injection) is a preparation of gonadotropins that contain both follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) activity.

• In Women: Menotropins are used to stimulate follicular development and induce ovulation in anovulatory women (do not ovulate) or oligo-ovulatory (ovulate infrequently) and to promote the development of multiple follicles in ovulatory women undergoing assisted reproductive technologies (ART) such as in vitro fertilization (IVF). The FSH and LH activity in menotropins are essential for the growth and maturation of ovarian follicles.

• In Men: Menotropins, typically administered in conjunction with human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), are used to stimulate spermatogenesis (sperm production) in men with primary or secondary hypogonadotropic hypogonadism.
