Cotellic Information

Cotellic (Cobimetinib Fumarate) is used alone to treat a specific type of blood cancer in adults called histiocytic neoplasms. This rare illness occurs when a type of white blood cell, called histiocytes, builds up in specific tissues and organs. Cotellic is used in combination with Zelboraf to treat metastatic melanoma. This condition is a type of skin cancer that spreads to other parts of the body and can't be removed by surgery. Kinase inhibitors like Cobimetinib Fumarate block tyrosine kinases, a chemical that sends growth signals in the cells. Cotellic is used only if your tumor has a specific genetic marker, for which your doctor will test.
